Map and camera data
- OpenStreetMap. Camera locations, roads and places: © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0). Camera mapping is largely contributed through the DeFlock project. Waypoint’s camera list is a copy of this OpenStreetMap data and is likewise available under the ODbL.
- Overpass API (overpass-api.de and community mirrors) delivers the camera data from OpenStreetMap.
- OpenFreeMap street map tiles, using the OpenMapTiles schema and the Liberty map style. © OpenMapTiles, data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Satellite imagery © Esri, Maxar, Earthstar Geographics and the GIS User Community (Esri World Imagery), used under Esri’s terms of use.
- 3D terrain: Terrain Tiles on Amazon Web Services by Mapzen/Tilezen, with elevation data from USGS, NASA SRTM, GMTED2010, ETOPO1 and other sources.
- Traffic (optional, with your own key) © TomTom.
Search, places and directions
- Photon geocoder by komoot, using OpenStreetMap data.
- OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) for driving directions, using OpenStreetMap data.
Street photos
- Panoramax street-level photos are shared by their authors under open licenses, usually CC BY-SA 4.0. The author and license are shown with each photo in the app.
- Links to Google Street View and Mapillary open those services under their own terms.
